Slacker Mobile for BlackBerry

A very cool program for Blackberry is Slacker Mobile. Slacker Mobile is essentially FREE internet radio for your Blackberry. With tons of channels and many different geners to choose from this program will provide hours of entertainment. Although a unlimited data plan is recommended for this program there is a work around. You are able to cache your stations by simply plugging your Blackberry into your computer saving yourself tons of data usage. With Slacker Mobile's free edition you are able to skip up to six songs per hour and you are subject to ads. There is a Radio Plus edition that will grant you unlimited skips and no ads for 3.99/month. Although I have not tried the Radio Plus upgrade I've found that the ads are short and relativly unnoticed and six skips per hour is plenty for me. Slacker Radio is also available for the iPhone, Slacker G2 or any computer.

Google Latitude

Google Latitude is a wonderful program. By using Google Latitude you are able to post your location in near real time as well as view the location of your friends. I personally own a Blackberry Storm and have used this program on a number of occasions. For those of you who may be afraid of sharing your location rest assured that you can stop sharing at any time. There is also a feature that you can share only the city you're in with select friends. Google Latitude also has all the features of Google Maps.
